Almost all of our time in Moldova will be spent in the capital, Chișinău ("Kish-i-now" - chișla (source of water) and nouă (new), because it was built around a small spring, at the corner of Pușkin and Albișoara streets) - with the odd day trip to an archaeological and monastery complex, Orheiul Vechi (Old Orhei), 30-odd miles north, and perhaps a winery or two. Meanwhile, there are lots of museums and galleries to keep us entertained, plus getting around should be fun (they go in for lots of lots of diacritic marks - suspect there'll be some guessing until we get the hang of pronunciation!). Six nights there and then we'll hopefully catch an overnight train to Bucharest for a night. Meanwhile, Air Moldova below...
