A day to start to make some headway into the big journey southwards. The weather forecast for the Chilean side of the Andes isn't great so we're tossing up whether to try the Carretera Austral route or stick to Argentina and its Ruta 40.

As you see, it's a rather grim day. A few good views
and the ever-present Andes,

and a cracking place to lay our heads (and make dinner -one-pot dishes are a speciality!!)
